Muted pink and green tones flooded St Mary’s Church, Queniborough, as florals and foliage took centre stage for the wedding ceremony of Georgie and Rob this summer.

Following Georgie’s sister’s wedding last year which we proudly catered for, we knew from the offset that this was going to be a really special day. A helpful usher come lollipop-man escorted guests from the church to the beautiful family home opposite. An impressive marquee structure was carefully designed with the support of Tom our founder and Georgie’s amazing eye for detail as well as plethora of amazing suppliers. The aim of bring the outside in was achieved with plenty of clear walls and an entirely transparent roof. Thankfully the sun shone down on us for the entire day, so the view from the marquee was nothing short of picturesque.

‘English Pimms on the Lawn’ was accompanied by an array of sensational canapes. As ever, the carbonara croquette with guanciale bacon and roasted garlic aioli went down an absolute storm!

Georgie and Rob went for a somewhat unconventional table plan within their marquee, consisting of a mixture of round, square and long trestle tables, adding a quirky feel to the dinner setting.  Along with the mixture of towering centrepieces, low foliage and twinkling candle light, clean rustic charm was effortlessly achieved. The glamour of our mirrored bar offset everything beautifully.

For the wedding breakfast, guests enjoyed a starter of roast scallop, chicken wing, BBQ leek, wild garlic, chicken skin and granola. The main course of beef short rib, with roasted summer roots and truffle dauphinoise was followed by a fabulous choice of sharing desserts, accompanied by an elegant Espresso Martini – the perfect catalyst to get the party going! The evening was complete with plenty of dancing, drinking and laughing. After working up an appetite, guests indulged in cheese toasties and house rubbed chicken baguettes for late night snacks, as well as helping themselves to the decadent cheese table.

This wedding was a pleasure to plan and a delight to execute – the smiles from guests and staff alike said it all! Browse Lucy Davenport’s stunning capturing of the day
