Sophie and Will’s Wedding

It’s always an honour to arrange someone’s wedding, however when you have known the client for nearly 20 years, planned and organised countless family celebrations including the bride’s 18th and 21st birthday parties, it doesn’t really get much more personal!

Our experienced team, including owner Tom Goodwin, guided the couple and their families through the full wedding planner process, fully utilising our expertise. The brief not only included the wedding breakfast catering and full bespoke drinks service, but also the full design of the marquee, featuring tailored production elements to really enhance the décor.

Inspired by the elegant gardens of The Grove and the Pre-Raphaelites paintings depicting ethereal beauty and nature, the wedding design concept explores flowers in water, nature and feminine beauty; merging the outside with the inside.

The guest journey began with the invitation, which featured a bespoke silk handkerchief printed with flowers submerged in water. The marquee interior was designed to reflect this initial notion; candles, wild flowers and vessels filled with water and floating petals created a luxurious and elegant feel, while keeping the colour scheme soft and natural.

Vintage filament light bulbs were suspended over the tables to give an intimate and romantic atmosphere, and the ivory carpet, chair and table linen allowed the pastels shaded table centres to ‘pop.’

The marquee was placed adjacent to natural woodland area, and the closest wall featured an accurate image of the landscape behind the screen. During the first dance, the top table and this feature wall were removed to reveal a beautiful woodland bar. This area was lit with candles, and guests were invited to take a cocktail and explore.

The party continued with the band and DJ, who provided a wonderful backdrop for all of the dancing and festivities that ensued! The posh dogs and Rueben late food snacks were welcome as guests continued to party the night away.
