Jemma and Geoff’s Wedding

Jemma and Geoff picked the stunning setting of Wrest Park for their wedding day – a beautiful English Heritage property set in 92 acres of picturesque gardens. And how the sun shone on their day!

They took full advantage of the striking surroundings, beginning their day in the Library where their ceremony took place. This was followed by Champagne, Pimms and Peroni on the sun soaked Terrace. Guests were entertained by a string quartet, while our staff served a selection of canapes and Jemma and Geoff posed for photos in the glorious Blue Drawing Room.

Guests were called to be seated for the Wedding Breakfast at 5.30pm, and our team were waiting to serve them a delicious 3 course menu in the wonderful Orangery; a short walk from the Mansion House. Once home to the largest orange trees in Britain, you can imagine how grand we feel catering there! The Orangery is an airy, light filled space and the ideal setting for a Summery reception, especially when your friend is playing the piano!

Jemma and Geoff dressed the room perfectly, with tall candelabras decorated with roses and eucalyptus to fill the vast ceiling space. Crisp white linen and classic silver cutlery adorned the tables, which were soon cleared to create space for the dancefloor. The speeches rounded off the Wedding Breakfast, and following the evening guests arriving to glasses of Champagne, guests gathered to watch Jemma an Geoff cut the exquisite cake. The first dance kicked off the party… and what a party it was! Our bar was kept busy throughout the night and the dancefloor was packed! Welcome late night snacks of mini burgers and hot dogs fuelled a great end to the celebrations.
