Millie’s Après Ski Party

Millie loves skiing, so for her 18th birthday party we bought après ski to their pool house… what else?!

The ski pass invitations set the snowy scene for the guests, who were welcomed into a themed courtyard area, complete with deck chairs, deer hide throws, whiskey barrel tables, candle lanterns, snowy fir trees, ski and snowboard racks, fire pits, wooden pallet furniture and real snow… yes… REAL snow. Our staff completed the exciting welcome with their themed costumes – lederhosen for the guys and dirndl dresses for the girls.

Traditional Hot Toddy and canapes were served in the reception room, along with a wider selection of drinks from the bar. The room was decorated with antlers, fairy lights, ski posters and of course, more snow.

Following the initial reception, guests were ushered into the pool house, where long wooden tables and benches provided the seating for a sharing starter inspired by Millie’s favourite food. Hessian napkins and candles completed the look, and the main course of chicken schnitzel worked perfectly with the surroundings.

The dining furniture was cleared away whilst guests enjoyed Courchevel and Deer Valley cocktails in the reception area. The room was redesigned with an Alpine themed DJ booth and a wooden parquet dancefloor completing the look of the evening party. The sharing dessert table was also created. Mini doughnuts, marshmallows, fruit and ice cream centred around a chocolate fondue station, with guests invited to top their concoctions with popping candy, sherbet, fruit coulis and chocolate soil. An Artisan cheese board and crackers was also available, with the staff circulating slider burgers later in the evening.

Happy Birthday Millie!
