A white, green and hot pink colour scheme, white low lounge seating, blow up flamingos bobbing in a pool, bespoke gin cocktails and a golden podium cage on a gleaming white dancefloor all waited to greet the guests of this themed birthday celebration.

We were asked to create Ibiza in Rutland and began with a clean, modern marquee, with a clear roof over the bar and lounge area to conjure the feeling of being on a white sand beach at dusk. A glowing Airstar was used the replicate the moon, creating a warm light and a feeling of being by the ocean. White and hot pink balloons were used to soften the edge of the marquee, and trailed towards a hot pink flower wall which was the perfect Instagram opportunity.

Guests were greeted with an array of prosecco and canapes, including gravlax, mushroom marmite, lamb fillet and chicken satay, all picked to be reminiscent of a previous birthday celebration. Our clients were real foodies, and guests were presented with a caviar amuse bouche when they took their seats. This was followed by our hugely popular 40 degrees salmon starter, with purple sprouting broccoli and red cabbage ketchup. The main course of roasted lamb served with bagna cauda and balsamic potatoes was rounded off with sticky toffee pudding, salted caramel and mini toffee apples with clotted cream; the couple’s personal favourite.

A close up magician provided excellent entertainment throughout the meal, wowing guests with his mind bending illusions. DJ Sally K provided an Ibiza inspired soundtrack to the celebrations, later handing over to house music legend Allister Whitehead. PVC clad podium dancers and the revealing of the glossy gin bar, complete with bespoke printed menus and gin bottles displayed in huge hand painted conical flasks set the scene for the evening’s celebrations. Triple cheese toasties and triple cooked chips were handed round at 1am to keep the party goers dancing until the small hours.

Not only did Stones Events create the backdrop to this unforgettable occasion, we also entirely managed the guest list, setting up a personal email address and dealing with all guests requirements prior to the party. A truly amazing event…..
