Stones Events was delighted to be working with Westleigh Developments Ltd for the third time in order to help them celebrate the momentous occasion of their company’s 25th anniversary. After catering for Westleigh’s 18th and 21st celebrations, we wanted to make sure that this year’s party was a truly spectacular affair.
The marquee event took place in the grounds of the Whetstone Golf Club in Leicestershire, where over 200 guests were greeted with a scrumptious selection of Pimm’s summer cocktails and hot and cold canapés. Tasty starter bites such as buttermilk fried crisp chicken and smoked salmon blinis with chive sour cream were circulated by members of staff while the guests gathered out on the lawn to enjoy the pleasant views and scorching weather. Service continued inside the marquee where guests were treated to personal table gifts and some first-class evening entertainment. After the celebratory speeches, a delightful seasonal spread of buffet cuisine was presented, including mouthwatering seared tuna with sweet potato, chorizo and orzo pasta; tender summer tart with fennel, watercress and spinach; and Greek-style BBQ lamb served with lentils, roasted pimentos and olives. For dessert, luxurious sundaes were served with poached strawberries, frozen strawberry parfait and extra thick double cream. The evening celebrations continued well into the night, with late food treats such as chicken fajitas providing a welcome respite for those who found it hard to leave the dance floor!
